Romanticism

I have been thinking a lot about how the impact of romanticism can still be seen today. Primarily, I think the main themes of romanticism are extremely prevalent in today’s society. For example, one main romantic theme was love and passion. Throughout basically any book, movie, etc. love and passion tend to be extremely popular themes. In fact, there is an entire genre of literature (romance novels) based solely on this theme. Another theme, freedom is prevalent in almost every aspect of our daily lives, especially in America. On any given day, one can turn on the news and see people upset because there personal freedom is somehow being encroached upon. God is a third theme of Romanticism. There are even songs on the normal radio station focusing on God. Essentially, the themes that are prevalent throughout Romantic works can easily been seen and translated in art, music, life, etc. today.
